Position: Control and Automation Engineer Project: Onshore Gas Plant Duration: 2 years assignment (1 year renewable contract) Commencement date: Q2/Q3 2011 to Q1 2013 Number required: 1 Requirement · Minimum Bachelor degree in related field. · Minimum 5 years relevant experience in Oil and Gas, Refinery or Petrochemical EPCm project during Construction, Commissioning and hand over to Operation. · Have experiences in dealing with Joint Venture Project environment. · Have knowledgeable on PRC GB standards and common practices. · Have knowledgeable on minimum PRC regulations and other China national legal requirements for the safe execution related to control and automation. · Fluency in English on both speaking and writing. · Mandarin speaker is preferred. Job Description · To provide instrument and control engineering expertise to the project in the JV environment by reviewing the AFC design, supervise and inspect the EPC activities in construction (fabrication, installation, and hook-up) and commissioning and handover to operations · Engineering Design Change Control · Support Lead C&A engineer and CSR to monitor/track to ensure timely and quality delivery of Company Procured items. · Verification of equipment received on-site for installation to be in good order and meeting required specifications. · Supervise and inspect the integrity of the instrumentation installation works in line with the PRC GB requirements and AFC design, especially for the explosion proof equipment, tubing and accessories matching, cabling, glanding, earthing and bonding and weather proofing. · Support CSR to Assist and coordinate the control and automation pre-commissioning and commissioning activities including coordination of vendor assistants. · Support Lead C&A engineer and CSR to ensure EPC construction mark up and subsequent review/verify the drawing to as-built. · Support Lead C&A engineer and CSR to ensure the control and automation system is constructed and is fit for purpose, safe operation and with the required system availability. · To monitor and direct contractor’s execution plan and performance to meet the project schedules within HSE standards. · Inspect and check worksite are safe and the respect HSE requirement and PPE are enforced.
